Boat movement

Postby Spider » Thu Aug 25, 2005 11:21 pm

It might just be me, but I've noticed 2 of my boats haven't been moving for some time now.

There seem to be a lot of complications with boats.

My boat has been at 75% docked for about 18 rl hours now. It's a fast boat and usually docks within 2-3 moves.

Make boat go, plez.

Further problems... Did a simple undock a boat to dock to another boat procedure, yet the other boat wasn't there.

What gives?

That's alright. My guy on a sloop has been sailing about on LAND for a couple of years now. Don't know how we jumped from water to land, but we did, and the novelty is starting to wear thin as we look for towns to dock in or a way to jump the ship back in water.

Oh sheesh... like the warps weren't enough.

Edit hey, don't scare me, I'm pretty sure my boats are moving...

This happened to me. Report it, they will move it back to the water.

On a different note...

I docked to a ship that was docked into a harbour!!! PLEASE PLEASE tell me this is a bug!

If not I will never feel safe with my boats in a harbour again. :(
a day without cantr, is a day spent in bed convulsing and suffering from withdrawl

Yes..... I noticed that docked ships are now listed as docking options. Please change this..... it is bad enough that these boats can be docked and pillaged with impunity by smaller boats, but to have this happen while you are docked adds insult to injury. :?

No it should stay like that. If you're worried keep crew on the boat. This is another reason why there should be rooms on certain ships.

It's a new change... and not necessarily a good one. I mean, it'd be fine if Cantr had a larger population, but...

BAD CHANGE!

(NOTE: Oh, and yet another step in devaluing the larger ships... seriously, what's the point in building a big ship? There has to come a point where programming considers the players rather than their twisted idea of 'realism')
(NOTE2: Maybe if you can dock to docked ships on land, but not ones in the harbour? That might restore some of the balance...)
