Info on boats, please

I've been watching the Wiki, but it doesn't look like the answer to my question is going to get posted there any time soon
One of my chars needs to build a boat- soon. And it needs to be at least three times faster than a longboat. I know that a raker fits the bill, but it's too costly in resources. What else fits the bill?

I've had a really good look at the vehicles section., and I'm impressed. You must have worked really hard on that. Now I'm only wondering what the heck I ever did to deserve that!
