Massive repair project

I seem to have made a rather monumental mistake today. I have a character that was wanting to repair his new steel long sword. I wanted to start a repair project for two hours, so I typed "2" into the box and hit enter immediately after. Apparently, there are some drawbacks that come along with all the benefits of being able to type quickly, and do things such as this quickly. My computer autofilled out the two as my address, which is 220, then a bunch of letters. So here's the problem: it would appear that I've just started a repair project for 220 hours. I really don't think that my character's commander is going to be pleased when she finds out that he started a 27.5 day project on repairing his almost brand-new longsword. Would it be possible by any chance to change this repair project back to two hours, somehow, or anything else to solve my gargantuan blunder?

I'm sorry but that is really funny  I've never done this on a repair project but it had happened to me. I've learned to remove the auto-complete.

Now, I distinctly remember a ProgD member saying you couldn't do a repair project for longer than the maximum repair time.

You sure its a project for 220 hours.

Well, not entirely sure, since it hasn't yet been long enough to see any progress in the project - it's still at 0%. But, I did manage to do this once before, with another character who it was far more embarrassing, since it wasn't even his weapon. But as far as I know, it's not a two hour project, since I have just noticed that one of my other characters who started to make a steel flatter at the same time is now 11% of the way through the project, while the character repairing his long sword is only at 0.5%.

I entered too much time to spend on repairing and I've got
ERROR: Too much repair specified

Hmm...

Might not be your fault. They are 'fixing' (i.e. changing whilst avoiding the actual problems) repair rates supposedly. Maybe it is a bug...

Or it could just be that you autofill created you own bug. In which case it is an interesting way to get around it... :?

Right now here's the problem. Our unit has just been kicked out of town, but I can't leave because I have this expensive, shiny sword locked up in a 200 hour repair project. Except I really need my character to leave. Badly. What's my Commander going to say when I show up without a sword because it's stuck repairing in the town we've been kicked out of? I can think of no way to roleplay a blunder that bad. And I'd dearly like to get out of this mess. Any member of the Cantr Staff that I can contact somehow to fix my blunder, by any chance? Or anything at all that the people in charge of the Cantr world can do to fix it, or am I just going to have to stay there till the project is complete?

Maybe you should PM one of them?

Or Flyspray it, or send to programming@cantr.net or bugs@cantr.net

Nothing has been changed. This is still being discussed and debated in the Resource Department.

Add this to your discussion: Why does it take 15 hours to repair a used sabre when it didn't take nearly that long to make?

Surrusly. (intentional misspelling denotes slang term)

Remember when I said, like, three weeks ago that the rates were way too high and everyone would be freaking out and you all thought I was being hysterical? Huh?

:P

Wasn't me tweakin' out. I totally agree. All my moderately-successful chars have to spend all their time repairing things and not being useful. It's irritating.
