To (be a) bug or not to bug

Ok lets see if I can explain this.without breaking a 4 day rule ..just in case it applies here....there is a certain item that was built outside and it is permanent...now there is another..same thing, that was built and it can be picked up...if it is picked up, then dropped, the text message says....you see a man in his twenties drop. ..that's it...doesn't say what he dropped..
ummmm ok did that make any sence?

Don't worry about the four day rule when reporting bugs.

I believe she did because she was posting in General Discussion. I moved the topic over here.

General rule, when it is a bug the Four Day Rule goes to the four winds because otherwise we'll have no clue what the hell you're talking about like for example.....now.

In Kirinn Forest there is both a stationary smoker, and one that can be picked up...I didn't know if it was a bug or not thats why I didn't say what it was! If you pick up the smoker, it says You see **** pick up. when it is dropped from inventory, it says ...You see ****drop. doesn't say what is picked up or dropped.. Is it a bug? or can you now build a portable smoker?

It's a bug. Definitely a bug.

I need to know what it says when picked up and dropped. I'll look the item up in the database and see if the names are correct.

It was my understanding from reading the forums that smokers and salting barrels had the problem that you mentioned when they were first created. This problem was fixed for all of the created ones, and for new projects that you started, but not for partially completed projects. I very well could be wrong, but that is what I seem to remember

It says nothing.....you pick up. you drop. thats it!
I seen someone pick it up...I didn't do it myself...

Well if you saw someone pick it up, then it does say something.
Thoroughly answering questions from the people who can fix it is a good idea, if you want something fixed.

When you pick it up, drop it, or see it passed to someone, it's the normal message sans the word "smoker". When it's in your inventory everything is fine up until the smoker... you see all the buttons for it and then nothing. Not the name and nothing in your inventory below it.
I don't know if this should have any influence on what you do with it, but the smoker is a visitor's, not the towns, so they would probably get a might mad if it stuck to the ground all of the sudden. It wasn't built in Kirinn Forest either...

I see now. Fixed. Tell me if it has a name now.
It seems whoever created the smoker forgot to put its inventory name.

Beats me, they picked it up. Anyway, does this mean those people lucked out and got a fabulous, wonderful, transportable smoker? Witchcraft...

Well, not yet because I haven't made it untransportable since I'm not sure what the creator wanted in this regard. But if and when I do and things are like how they were when we did the same with the anvil way back, these people will have permanent smoker attached to themselves.
