DOUBLE EATING

Yes, it was reported as "Weird Thing" but, as was pointed out, characters are going to starve with that subject line.
Characters are eating twice each day. It looks like some projects are finishing or incrementing twice, too. Some characters will starve pretty soon, based on the fact that they're going through food twice as fast.

I have a few charries that are going to suffer greatly by this. One in the mountains, one exploring the sea, one in the forest, etc....
Also, the bodies are piling up two to three times faster now... Grr.

Sensible title, Mortaine. I was looking out for this very topc, and completely skipped over the "weird thing" thread.
Thjis is surely URGENT.
Lckily none of my characters is going to starve, but one of them at least is hungryand is going to get very hungry before she gets a chance to replenish her suupplies. She planned things fine, but -ironically- the minute reset bug prevented her from setting out on a journey in good time, so her food stocks were low to start with. There must be quite a few characters dotted about for whom the two problems are having a cumulative effect like that.
I'd like to suggest to the Programming Department that they TEMPORARILY HALT ALL FOOD CONSUMPTION, until things even out. As Mortaine pointed out, this could make all the difference between life and death for some.

work is also being done at twice its speed as well as travel, and some items created will double when finished.

Well I know someone's char that was already hungry, and has died today from starvation. This needs to be fixed.

But this actually gets people's attention, wheareas all that other stuff is obscure.
I agree. Food consumption should be halted. All my characters have ample food even with the double consumption, but I know that alot of others will suffer greatly or die.

Only double? One of my characters ate FOUR times! She's a newspawn with only a few kilos of food too, and travelling. This keeps up and she might starve before she can gather more food.

As soon as the other topic gets renamed to something that actually states the problem, or the issue gets resolved, I would 100% support that, Nick. I created this one because, after repeated requests to rename the other topic, no one did so, and therefore, it was not clear if anyone with the power to fix it understood there was a problem (especially since this problem went several days before even being addressed by a PD member).

Some of my characters ate once, but a couple ate twice, mainly those who were already hungry due to double eating.

The Programmers don't visit this forum as much as some of us do.
That doesn't mean your request will be ignored. I can guarantee that the Programmers would have preferred you NOT to make a duplicate topic.

*deep sigh of relief* Thank you, whoever fixed it. It seems to be all better again.
