I just sent a raker sailing at full speed and undocked from it (leaving it empty). Instead of setting it to speed 0, I appear to have set it on course 0 at full speed.

Probably just a sucks to be me situation.

There's no way I can catch it again.

EDIT: In case it isn't just my problem...the raker is named "Freelancer"

It's like you got in your dingy and forgot to lower the anchor on your boat so it sailed off without you. Could happen in rl, and has I'm sure.

IRL an uncrewed ship wouldn't take off at a faster rate than your crewed vessel could match, and sustain it indefinitely.

Sadly for my character, that is how a cantr ship would behave...

It's accidents like this that make Cantr so much fun!

Please keep posting mistakes like this!

So, in conclusion, I've donated a Raker to the ghost ship population?

Consider it a time capsule. It will hit land eventually.
(Oh please, Anthony do not reply to this topic and start our argument again) :D

edit: I'll pre-emptively state the exception. If the bearing is a multiple of 45, and the line it travels across the map passes no land at all, then it is POSSIBLE, theoretically, that it could keep going. But that's assuming that a straight line can be drawn across Cantr not passing through land, which I don't think is probable.

Ha.

Yeah, that's really one of those "Oops" problems, where, you know, you accidently delete your account, or you tell someone their name instead of actually applying the name to them...

Personally, I'd love to help, because trust me - I've done the damn same thing. But I don't think anything can be done. But don't take my word for it. If programming jumps in... horray for you.

My advice: sail after it. It'll stop eventually.
