 I remember reading somewhere in the forum pages that if too many dead bodies are taken into a room then this can cause a problem.

Well does anybody remember this thread and have a clue to how many a room could hold before this happens.

As i have not got round to a building project yet i dont know if there is a difference in a size of rooms when you choose this option or there maybe different size buildings.

Anybody know anything that might enlighten me :D

Sorry to spoil your fun.

But the correct answer to this question would be:

Find out in game.

sorry

It's my opinion that it can't hurt to know what can be put inside of a building. It's rare that you'll be shoving LIVE people inside unil it's filled to it's compacity. The only thing not knowing what a building can hold is going to do is help you shove one too many dead bodies inside it and then cause programming to have to remove one. Unfortunatelly that's not for me to say, nor do I know how many bodies can be shoved inside before it's full. Sorry. :P

I get more and more tired of this every time I see it.

An oldbie will have already 'found out in game' something that one of their chars needs to know and apply it to their new char that needs to know,
whereas a new player would potentially waste resources finding out something, thus putting that char on an unequal footing with other characters, purely because of who plays them. That in itself seems like a CR bend to me, albeit one that works out in the favor of older players.

In this case...can you say you actually have found out in game?

I could understand this being a CR issue, where you actually have to find out how big buildings are in character.

Cantrian's have eyes. They can see. I think that anything a Canrian could reasonably be expected to be able to ascertain through sight should be common knowledge for any player.

Such as:

Is it a boat or a car?
Is it a big building or a small cottage?
Is it a sharp pointy tool or a spoon?

It is senseless to have to "make it and see" or even to ask other players. "Hey what is this thing I'm making anyway? Do you know what it does?" or "If I want to blow air on coals to get them really hot what would the name of something like that be? Anybody know? Because I can't make one until I know what it's called."

This is why we need a knowledge base.

Even something as simple as an object description on the build page, like we have for clothing. That would solve a lot of problems. I don't know what the hell a "waster" is, for example, except that it takes 160 wood and needs a knife. It could be ANYTHING.

Example:

iron shield: A heavy shield made from solid iron
peen hammer: a hammer with a small head, suitable for pounding metal.
bike cart: a bicycle frame with added storage
mortar and pestel: a stone bowl and grinder

etc. etc.

We shouldn't have to rely on google to try to guess what things are.

Descriptions for everything in game is something that I would have liked to have seen a long, long time ago

I'd even volunteer to do them at some point in the future...as of today, though, I'm too busy.
