Tandem Capacity

I have a question for the Programming Department. Given rklenseths's comments at the bottom of the bowstringer thread
http://www.cantr.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4243, I'm no longer sure this is the right place to post about programming issues (I'd also like to ask if anybody knows if that problem ever sorted out? I'm no longer in Brunoi, so I can't tell ), but since it's neither a bug, as such, nor a suggestion , I dont know where else it would go. So here goes:
It's been pointed out that the tandem -surprisingly- can't carry two characters with full packs (though it does- or did carry
*SOME AMOUNT* , so long as only one character is riding it ). One my characters has a tandem, and recently discovered, by accident, that it can carry more weight than it used to, but she's in no position to find out how much more at the moment. .
Is this a random glitch, or has the Tandem capacity been increased? And does this mean that the Tandem can now carry two with full packs ?

You should be more careful when posting in game specifics on the forum. I've been playing for ages, and I didn't know what a tandem bike held before reading this post.

Julie, such things shouldn't be discussed OOC, generally. Sorry!

...and you still don't know, if it's been changed. If you think about it, you'd EXPECT a Tandem to carry at least [FIGURE DELETED * ]. That's not giving anything away. That said, you'd also expect it to carry two people, loaded up or not
It's weird that it can't (or couldn't ) and that does need pointing out.
* twice as much as one character can generally carry (Sorry. Is that OKAY?)

I was only objecting to the actual number you post, not your complaint in general.

Julie, it is not a random glitch

You have to figure that your chars aint weightless.

She knows that and she is asking about something else, Poster Bob. The question has also been answered.

Tanks, Nitefyre. Yep, that answers my question.

He is correct. Some vehicles will allow a person (or people) to get on board with full packs. Some may allow that, and a bit of extra storage room on the ground. Some, however, only allow so much weight on it, usually for mechanical vehicles (Mechanical being, those operated by the human, rather than an engine. Bike, tandem bike, bike cart, push cart, etc etc.) due to the fact that if more weight were allowed, the vehicle would not move at all due to the calculations in effect to determine the speed at which the vehicle would go.
Therefore, yes, the tandem bike only allows so much weight on board. Otherwise, you wouldn't be moving.
We could always give every vehicle unlimited weight, but you know, chances are with some programming loop... your vehicle would go backwards, rather than forwards...
Not that it wouldn't be funny to see or anything...

Quite usefull. Leave town, turn around immediatly, and you go the way you want anyway.
Current weight limits are a good thing I guess...

Related to this issue, I am having tandem trouble as well. I was on a bike with a large number of potatoes (on the floor). A random newspawn jumps on the bike and proceeds to fall asleep for a day. I try to remove her, to no avail. I step off the bike to go get some help and when I try to get back on, BAM "too much weight" for me to enter. How is it that the bike that had been supporting me, the potatoes, and the newspawn, can no longer do that? Now, I have no way to get her off the stupid thing. Please help.
