Vacation Mode?

Postby DylPickle » Fri Mar 18, 2005 5:31 am

There is one right? A vacation mode?
How do I "activate" it?

Going to Cuba next week, and I don't want my chars dying due to... unnatural causes, namely the dreaded account deletion.
(maybe I'm just being paranoid)

Up in the right hand corner of your player page, next to your player stats there's a small gray box/icon that states "Change"

Click there and you'll be taken to a page where you can there-in put your account on leave.

What happens to your chars? Do they just not do anything?

Same thing as not logging in for a while, except they won't drop due to idleness.
Won't stop anyone from killing the characters.

Or from hunger. That's something to watch out for, and can be prevented...

I'm going on a long trip soon and I have a question:

If i set my account to "on leave" can i still log in if i happen to get to an internet café or something? Or do I have to set the number of days and then not log in at all during that time?

You can log in, change it to "active", play for a while, then set it back to "Vacation mode" before logging off.

So yes, you can still log in whilst on holiday.

Erm, does that mean that if my chars are not doing anything, they're gonna drop dead or something?

I don't know because they're all too busy trying to stay alive at the moment.

No... just if you don't log in for awhile, your account will be deleted. Idleness... on the player's side.

They wouldn't delete the account after only a week of inactivity would they?
