Is knowing what the maximum wieght every cantarian can hold and then using that for a search check, wouldnt this be a breach of CR? But ive heard people say its "Widly used".

Minor, if anything. Most people have been around long enough or are in an area that's been around long enough to konw that, even through simple trial and error.

I see it as a feasible canr alternative to the stripsearch. With one rather glaring difference.
