Where only some of the bodies removed because the town should be responsible for building more rooms or putting the dead bodies on display that have piled up.

how long have bodies been able to block rooms like this? Or is it just because there are a murderous amount of bodies in those places?

I think it is because bodies now have a weight associated with them, just like irl.

Yeah, except in real life bodies can usually be dragged by one person and carried by two. What I don't get is if you hit the person enough and get their strength low enough you can drag them, while still struggling, by yourself but when they are dead and not struggling anymore then they weigh twice as much. I don't understand the purpose of having to have two people drag dead bodies. I know you want to encourage more player interaction but how many character go around saying, "Hey, John, some guy keeled over in my home the other day, can you help me drag him out."?

If you beat up someone really bad, he would probably think about trying to withstand you dragging him around. To avoid even more beating, he would even comply.
To drag a dead body is not really that easy. A dead weight is very hard to handle. Needing two people to drag a dead man was implemented on purpose, to make it harder for people to secretly kill people inside their mansions. They can still kill them inside, but they will eventually have their whole building full of bodies, making it impossible for themselves to enter.

Heh, generally, you can always ask for support, if your building becomes unaccessible due to a mass of bodies piling up.
But characters should also watch themselves to keep their buildings clean...
