AAAARGH!!! Can't start tool projects!

I have complained about this before and was told that IE can f*ck up when the memory is low...but now it happens even when I restart my computer.
This is getting to be a real nuisance, and it can't only be me that is suffering from this problem.
Perhaps you should look this over, because if I was new and had this problem I would probably abandon the game...

I just started a broom project then canceled it.
Is it that you can't start them or there not making progress?
Because it looks like the turns aren't progressing travelling nor projects.
Tell the staff privately where the problem is and which tool.
Or your could give me your password with id and I'll try it and a few other things.
Oh yeah...IE 6.0 on XP for me.

Well...I have windows 2000.
I can't start the projects.
The whole game crashes and the window is closed.
It isn't just a single tool...
hammers, trowels, cooking stones, iron shields and so on all cause the game to crash.
I NEVER encounter this problem when starting "gather resource" projects or any other actions...this must be a bug.

I have Windows 2000 Pro. But I've never encountered the problem! I've had the problem David speaks of where you start a project and it never makes any progress, but thats it.

Try the windowsupdate site at microsoft or use netscape and see how that goes. Billy Gate's stuff isn't exactly known for reliablity.

no but it is known for complacency...
instead of IE, try Opera. much better. The only way IE is better is that Kjeldorn Firecam's notes in Kwor look blank in Opera. Everything else is peachy keen.
Also it's skinnable, and you can block popups. what's not to like?

Perhaps I might ask Keldorn Firecam to go over his notes for cross-compatibility....
Do all browsers interpret commonly used tags to change colour, size font etc in Cantr the same? I assume they do as it's HTML 2.0 or someting old like that, but wanted to check

I really don't feel like changing browser just to start projects in Cantr, and I'm always quick on downloading updates.
It is really strange that this only happens to me...

Billy Gates doesn't like you. What did you do?

Well, the feelings are mutual
Still, since I haven't got problems with IE when I browse other sites I think it is a bug here...especially since I NEVER have problems starting resource collections.

Hi, Pirog!
AFAIK, you're indeed the only one having that problem. Would you please specify again your browser and your OS?
Also, would you look into your settings to determine whether you are using a HTTP proxy server or not?
If the answer is yes, then disable it for Cantr, please, and try again starting a project.
If available, please also try starting a project using another browser.
The Cantr emails are currently down, so, you can either get back to me by posting in this thread, or you can send a PM to me, using this forum.
I can't promise that I will find a solution, but I will try.

Hmm...strange.
I have windows 2000 and IE...um...how do you see that?
As you can tell I'm not very good with computers, and I can't seem to figure out what version of IE I have...but it is fairly new, if not the newest.
I'm not using a HTTP proxy server, so that is not the problem.
Thanks for helping...this is really frustrating, escpeciallt since the problem seems to lie with me and not you

I think that I solved the problem!
I checked up on microsoft homepage and installed IE 6 with some service pack...it said that I allready had everything installed but I thought "what the hell, this is a time for desperate messures"
Now everything works!
Thank you so much everyone that has offered your help!
