Boat Map Error

I have three chars on the water in boats, two longboats and one darter, and the area map for all three is the same, a patch of desert toward the south and nothing else but water. I know it's wrong for the locations because I've been there before and know what should be there.
I just noticed that it isn't a random map shown, the map shown for all three chars is the first map that I look at of the three after firing up Explorer and logging in. In other words, if I look at char A's map first then the map for all three is that same area map, and so on for all all three chars.

This error is driving me batsh*t, at any given time I normally have 2-4 people on boats and it could be more, I have 6 chars with boats so this is really affecting me bad. Is anyone else even having this problem? Or does anyone even have access to more then one boat to find out?

I've only got one character on a boat, but he's not having any problem.

I several on boats, they all seem fine. Perhaps you should refresh your browser when you look at the map for another char

That's the thing, I know it's not anything on my end, I've used this same computer to play Cantr the since my first char, and I've breifly used probly 10 other coms and never run into this problem with any of them either. I've played long enough to know what errors are caused on my end and what errors are caused by outside factors, and the same thing happens on the two coms at work that I log in from 2-3 times a week so I know it isn't any program conflicts either.

Neither Robert McKenna or my newspawn char with the boat he "borrowed" have had probs either. In fact, they have never had that kind of prob.

Are you sure you wait long enough when looking at that page? The browser first takes the picture from cache, then checks the site and downloads the proper one. So when I sail with multiple chars, I encounter the same problem, but it only takes a second or two and the proper maps shows up.

It'd depend on your browser settings, of course.

That's not the problem either, I just let things sit on one char for about 5 mins and the same thing keeps happening, once I look at the map for one char on a boat (however, it doesn't appear to affect my boats that are docked) I have that same map for all boating chars until I logged out, I don't seem to have to shut down Explorer anymore though, just log out of Cantr. All the settings and everything are the same on my com as they've always been also.

To be sure: I meant looking for a little bit at the map ... not wait in between looking at the different maps. That shouldn't matter.

But not that either, maybe it'll fix itself soon...

Are you using your back button instead of the back arrow at the bottom of the screen?
I find I end up in the wrong char if I do that sometimes...

To be honest, I have no idea what the problem is, and can't replicate it. If I login for your characters, the maps work fine. I think you should check your browser settings and check how it deals with cache, whether it checks whether the page changed or not ...

Well, it just got weirder actually. One of my boats ran aground and when it did the map for that char was turned another 1/4 turn clockwise, in other words north was down instead of right until I got the boat moving again, plus he shouldn't even have run aground when he did, he was headed south which should have been open water. He was headed on a heading of 180 when we ran aground on land to the north.
I guess I gotta see if it just goes away, like most problems that show up, I've checked and tried everything, and I'm not having any trouble with any other websites.

After changing back to normal (north=right), the area map for the one char is now stuck in north=down orientation.
But now the area map changes for each char the way it should.
