Divergent Characters

Something really weird just happened on the road between Kwor Beach and Kwor. A man walking on the road attacked my character and another with a hunting bow. I marked the attacker and then shot at him. After that he claimed that he had never attacked anyone and that the one who shot us was a different person. I canged the name I had for the one who attacked me and sure enough they had become two seperate people, with the real attacker nowhere in sight.
