Why can't I put https before the website address?

Since yesterday, I can only access the forum via http, but not https. Is it safe for me to log in?

It looks like an expired certificate. What's weird is that it shows a 2017 expiration, so we would've seen this years ago.

I get a big security warning from Firefox saying I am at risk of having my computer hacked or whatever if I proceed to this site because the certificate is self-signed.

I email the staff for info on what's happening but have not received an answer. I finally decided to take the chance.

Some info would be nice.

Of course you know this as you're here now, but this has been fixed by now.
