Have radios been tweaked since the radio update?

I get the feeling that maybe some tweaking of the ranges has occurred. I feel like maybe extended range transmitters reach a little further than they did just after the update. But it seems repeaters haven't been. Can anyone confirm? Also, will it ever become public the new ranges, because it's incredibly difficult to find out in game.
