I've decided to not unsub, but instead wait for nature to take its own course. This gives the staff plenty of time to remove the notes I have that some people won't want to see.

I accept no responsibility if anyone is offended by the content of any of my notes.

Okay, I get this isn't the place for discussion, but I'm confused here. No one's going to delete your notes unless they're blatantly breaking some kind of rule, and if you know they are...and I assume you do or you wouldn't have made this thread...why not just do the decent thing and delete them yourself?

This whole thread just seems kind of attempt at attention getting more than anything, tbh.

Is it possible for ourselves to delete our own notes? I have been suffering with them so far haha

Just erase the entire body and title. If you get left with a blank note just go into the body and make sure you've backspaced all the way, and it should disappear automatically.

Just for clarity, uneditable notes obviously can't be removed this way (and as such, can't be removed at all).

And yes, it's meant to be that way, and uneditable notes will not be changed to be deletable, as far as I know.

If you have multiples of exactly the same uneditable note, you can destroy all but one when you put them in an envelope together and clicking "remove note duplicates".

Does the game keep track of who created a note? Would be nice if we could switch our own back and forth.

Just thinking it might come in handy in a situation where you think you're about to lose a char, but then don't after all.

My request to remove my notes has turned into a request for account deletion. It's not gonna die on its own because it's locked. I also can't unsubscribe myself for the same reason.

So either remove the lock so I can do it myself or get rid it yourselves, but keeping them alive is only holding back certain towns and is more of a disruption to the game then me smacking one guy with two characters.

Attacking one character with two of your own characters is a clear violation of the capital rule - it's definitely one of the big no no's. You can't have your characters cooperate in any way, especially not in combat. You should expect at least a temporary ban for using 2 of your characters to attack the same character. If you still like the game, apologize to the PD member who you were working with on the violation for breaking the rules, take some time to study the rules so you don't do something against them in the future, take your timeout and then you can move forward if you still want to play. If you're done because you don't want to play by the rules or don't want find Cantr fun, then, so be it. It's not the end of the world.

Yeah I have heard that's a problem - not being able to unsub when your account is locked.

The problem is there is no banned status for inactive accounts, so PD has to write a note on the account to tell everybody not to revive it because it's banned. It's easier to keep it locked so that it doesn't accidentally get revived by someone who wasn't working on the case.

But you don't have to be banned to have your account locked, afaik that can happen over fairly minor things as well, and it is kind of unfair and disruptive to the friends and communities of the chars stuck in limbo. Do frozen accounts even time out after the twenty days? Or does this always lead to years of standing around having to RP it like there's still a chance they might wake up someday?

As an aside, if those notes I found were dropped by your dead characters... Jesus Christ, man. There is a lot of really sadistic torture porn on Cantr and apparently I have not even scratched the surface. Thank God for small mercies.
