You probably forgot to log out. If you don't log out, the system subtracts the time since your last action from your time remaining as soon as you take an action (look at a specific character or something). Were you able to examine one character then do nothing else. This is probably the problem.
ALWAYS log out.

Is it just me and my Third World ISP tonight, or is the server quite significantly slower than it used to be? It was very fast yesterday after Chris fixed everything, but it seems to be slowing down again. Right now it's rather painful to play at all.

Yes, it recovered again, getting much better. Strange, that. Didn't seem to be that many people on yet either.

Is it me or is the time when the minutes reset changed since cantr went down because they've normall rest by now and I haven't been able to get on for about 8 hour because of it.

The minute reset is tied to the Cantr internal clock and occurs during Cantr hour 1 . Because of the sever problems this means time reset is now around 19:00 GMT
