So apparently I can put a custom description for plain leather bracers but not decorated ones. Is that intentional, and if so what's the reason?

Also, if I use custom-described plain bracers to make decorated bracers, will the decorated ones retain the custom description of the plain ones, or will the description be replaced by the standard decorated bracer description?


I had a character who was making customized bracers, and they were going to be the decorated ones, but apparently that doesn't work? It didn't make much sense to me, to be able to customize the ones clearly labeled as "plain".

If any of this sounded rude, I'm sorry and it wasn't my intention... I just want to understand how this works and if my character has to start over with her project.

I'll fix it later. To answer your other question: custom descriptions are never saved when adding the item to a new project (such as with candle>burning candle, or coat>waxed coat).
