I want to make a beehive in a remote area, I can see that you need beeswax to make a beehive, how do you do that if you don't have a beehive to start with?

Do you have to find someone with a beehive and trade for beeswax? If so how did the first beehives come about?

There are a few places where beeswax is a natural resource, but it can also be produced by an existing beehive, if you know a neighbor who has a beehive and will let you borrow it to harvest beeswax. The wiki article for beehive has all the details.
