exiting a car when out of gas

I find myself a passenger in a fuel-powered car. The door is unlocked but I can't get out. The fuel has run down to zero. I have slowed the car to 0. Why can't I leave?

Sorry for a dumb and probably evident question.

You can't leave in the middle of a road. You need to go to the end of the road to get off. It will go slower than walking speed, so you should set it to 100 %. Maybe who ever owns the car has more fuel, though?

She accidentally left him in the last town. Thanks for the advice!
