Yesterday, I attacked a character for 55 damage
Today, I attacked the same character for only 43
The situations were identical. The defender had no shield (confirmed with the player), and my character had no damage or tiredness either day. I verified I attacked at 100% the second day - I had 15% tiredness after the attack, and know I had none prior. Also attacked with the same weapon.
How is this even possible? There are no other variables in combat. You either miss, hit the shield, or bypass the shield, and since the character has no shield...
I can provide more info in a PM.

Re: Odd combat behavior
Attacks, just like many other actions, have some random factor (similar to normal distribution) involved. So first time your were just more lucky.

Seriously? Is this new? I've never, ever, ever, ever seen this before. Ever. At least I know for a fact that it doesn't apply to hunting.

It's at least four years old. I don't have code history before 2009. And it doesn't apply to hunting.
