okay, so..
you know how you can memorse a different name for a vehicle without changing the sign, and it is as easy as hitting the 'store' button beside the original name to change it back?

well i memorised a different sign for a vehicle. then changed the original sign. THEN tried to 'store' the changed sign (in position 1) but the memorised name remains as the main name and the new name is stuck in blue brackets underneath.. i have even tried typing the new name to memorize that but i still have it in blue brackets.

is there an error in the code preventing us from restoring a true sign in place of a personally memorised sign?
others wont see it but it's driving me nuts. if you want the exact details. let me know who to PM it to.

It annoys me too. It's just the way it is. Also, the memorised one is the only one you see when the vehicle arrives, leaves, is entered or is anyway mentioned in the events. This annoys me too, but it's useful when a stolen and renamed one appears and you know it only as the original name. It just means you often don't realise it has a new name and look like a fool. (Since I don't check the vehicle list often enough and it's the only place all names are listed, people page also has the memorised name)

it was not always like this
many tmes over the years i was able to click the 'store' button by the true name and it would restore it normally to the actual true sign. always was able to, not sure when the programming might have been effected because it has been a couple years since i have but now, no mater what i do i cannot get it to appear normal to my char the way it appears to the rest of the world. it is indication that there is an error in the code that has come up.. sometime between now and the last time i restored a sign normally for my chars perspective. makes me want to sell the boat for PURE OOC reasons

I did some changes to make b&v page load faster. I'll try to fix it soon.
