fuel consumption

i was wondering.... when you look at fuel consumption rates in the wiki, they do not correspond to the ratios of fuels consumed in game.... like, in the wiki a vehicle uses 3 times as much propane as petrol.... but in game it uses HALF as much propane as petrol....
my question is... since they do not correspond... is the wiki just wrong? or is there an issue in game?
