In Mianir, some pages spell "spinach" correctly, while others misspell it "spinage." (Unless there actually is an edible commodity called spinage. )

Yep, seen lots of spinage in my time. Don't matter really it all eats the same.

I just noticed this too, and changed it back. I guess because it's in the game and people have it, that the locations was looking for "spinage" to harvest, but it no longer existed.

So it's changed back.

The problem doesn't lie with the raw resource, because the resource can be translated (raw_spinage), and the English name was changed by one of the translators already. The problem lies with the project description ("Farming for spinage" or something like that), because that one can't be edited by translators yet.

That problem there lies in the raw resource name. You choose the type of event (Dig, Fish, Farm, etc) and it put the name of the resource in. So if changing it to "Spinach" it would say "Farming for spinach" - but the problem is the blank location field...

In the database, spinach is listed as 'spinage'. This is a mistake, but we cannot easily change it, because other references in the database will be incorrect. The projects function uses this name directly at the moment, which is why we have the wrong version, but should eventually use the translatable texts. So it will eventually be solved, but we need a little patience.

That's what I meant. It's looking for something that doesn't exist. But then I thought I was wrong... oh well. Doesn't mattter.

spinach and spinage are the correct spellings for both. I asked my English teacher and some English speaking people spell it one way the others in other ways. It is one of those things that in the English language is messed up like tomatoes and tomatos.

Uh oh, here we go. Another event where words are or aren't spelt right because there are multiple ways to spell it. BLAH. I'm staying out of this one

Where? Sorry, I don't think that's right. I've never seen the word "spinage" before, and I've never heard anyone pronounce "spinach" with the soft "g" sound. It took me awhile to even be sure that it was a misspelling of "spinach." Cantr has defined a number of items that I've never heard of before, and I initially thought this was one of them -- maybe some kind of plant or shell. My Websters unabridged dictionary has no entry for "spinage," and the entry for "spinach" doesn't show any alternate spellings or pronunciations.

I pronouce it with a 'g'...like this -

Spin-age...actually...more like this...Spin-edge. Not that I regularly talk about spinage/spinach whatever, thats how most people I've heard say it..say it.
