Already changed something?

823-4: You ate 50 grams of your spinage.

822-4: You ate 50 grams of your spinach

Where? Sorry, I don't think that's right. I've never seen the word "spinage" before, and I've never heard anyone pronounce "spinach" with the soft "g" sound. It took me awhile to even be sure that it was a misspelling of "spinach." Cantr has defined a number of items that I've never heard of before, and I initially thought this was one of them -- maybe some kind of plant or shell. My Websters unabridged dictionary has no entry for "spinage," and the entry for "spinach" doesn't show any alternate spellings or pronunciations.

Where I live and what I was taught is school in good old Upstate New York it is spelled (or spelt, however you liked) spinage.

We just went over this about tomatoes and tomatos. An American dictionary had it tomatoes and an English dictionary had it tomatos. Both are right. It is just that English language if it can be called that has had so many changes that depending on where you are in the world it might or might not have changed.

Well, my dictionary says 'spinach' and not 'spinage', so that'll be final ;) ...

I went to www.spellcheck.com and Jos is correct. According to Spellcheck.com, it's spelled Spinach. I tried Spinage and it came up with "Spin age" and others like that, but no Spinage.
