docking questions?

Postby g1asswa1ker » Mon Jul 30, 2012 6:41 pm

Need someone to answer some questions privately
Somehow you strayed and lost your way,
and now there'll be no time to play,
no time for joy,
no time for friends
- not even time to make amends.

Undocking

Raker, sloop, dinghy, raft

Docking

Raft, darter

Logic would say you can undock from the darter and redock to the dinghy. Problem is where is the dinghy... Three ticks and still no dinghy. Yes, raft has moved.

So, any solutions?

I don't understand the question. The wiki lists each vessel type, what they can dock to and what they can get docked by.

Or perhaps the dinghy didn't undock at all.

If the dinghy is docked to something, you won't see it..

I'm trying to dock a longboat to a raker. According to wiki, that should work.

I undocked longboat from town (not landing-stage) and now see both town and raker as visible cities and vessels in the location screen. The town is to the east of me, the raker to the north.

The location screen gives only the town as dockable place.

What do I have to do to dock to the raker instead?

sometimes, you need to move your boat 1tick to make visible others dockables places.

edit: extra info:if your longboat is to close to dock instantly, you can dock even if racker is on move. if not, you need that the raker is floating (non-moving)

Where does a raker go if you build it in a town (and not a coaster harbour)?

It appears docked to the town, whether or not there's a coaster harbor. But once it undocks from land, it can never dock back to it.
