Event Filter Problems

Hello! I've been experiencing this problem with the event filters. Sometimes, even if one of the filters are checked for a character, it still activates the character. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks!

We'd need a little more specific details. Do you know what event lighted up the character? Some people have reported sailing events light them up, and some sailing events categorize under "vehicles arriving/departing".

Okay, for example, I had every single filter checked on this one character, but then someone talking put him into active mode.

Has the problem replicated itself multiple times, or just once?
And you are sure that it was someone speaking that triggered the light up?

Same for me (with two different characters). Every single filter checked, but since there were many events I don't know which one caused the active mode. I can try to monitor it.

I've been having this issue today. I have it set so that whispers won't activate my character, but the character keeps getting activated every minute by whispers. I tried saving it without whispers marked and then marking it again, but it didn't fix it. Whispers are the only thing I had set to not activate the character.

This happens quite often. And, like Ronja, I can't entirely be sure every time, because there are tons of events.

Okay, so now, there's this other character that doesn't activate when someone talks, and I don't have any of the boxes checked for that character at all >.<

Things have been odd for me too, but I can't be more specific.

Exactly the same for me.

My character can see when she leaves a town but not when she arrives (on the event filter). People/vehicles entering
People/vehicles leaving are both unchecked.

Sometimes when you leave a character, that character is lit up, but after you check another character and come back to the player list, the character is now unlit even though you didn't touch it. I assume it's that somebody whispered after you had clicked the go back arrow and autorefresh caught that, and for some reason that goes around the filter, but after you visit another character, it's no longer a new event so it gets filtered.

this time it happened when someone else took something out of a storage and put it directly to the inventory
checking another character first didn't change anything
