I just noticed file upload for the wiki has been disabled and the last added file was December 22. Is this really necessary? At one point there seemed to be a goal that every item should have a picture. I assume it was disabled due to spam images or then pictures taking too much space.

Image uploads has been disabled for more than two years. I can enable it for short periods of time, but the spam is immense, so it will not be turned on permanently.
