Can anyone do something about this?

It's been like that for a long time. It's very annoying. If you're on a road and you're not on a vehicle, you see it. It's been reported a lot, and as far as I know there's no way to fix it (otherwise I think it'd be fixed by now).

As a programmer, I'm pretty sure there'd be some way to fix it. From the message the "to" variable is empty, so even a simple check to see if that variable has anything in it before generating the event should be able to filter it out.
