I had the following events happen for one of my characters:

3278-4.00: You take 80 grams of potato chips.
3278-3.29: You ate all your potato chips.

Are there two eating ticks?

(The character picked up more potato chips in between)

It's probably relevant that this character had the eating sickness (was feeling faint) shortly before this, but it is no longer on his character page even though he never rested since getting faint.

Double eating only seems to occur during the eating sickness. No one has really looked into it. It's unsure if food actually gets taken twice or if it just displays it twice. But what you posted says you take instead of you ate.
