How to make suicide with a char?

One of my chars is a really insane person. It would make suicide if it locked again. And now it is. it is ingame decided, that she will die and she can't think in rooms. And because of the other players only run in and out. And not giving me the change to RP I pleased to kill this char now. One attacked. And it needs two other attacks that she die. But I pleased for more ingame attacks OOC. But no. This char is dead since a few minutes. But he isn't dead, because the game mechanic don't allows it. Maybe I should suggest a suicide button for chars you don't wanna bring out of a bad situation. Only to bring it in the next. This char annoyed me a few times more. I would talk about it in four days. But how can I play his suicide now?

Not allowable, as already stated to you numerous times.

It is not allowed to play a char which is crazy and would make suicide if it is locked? Annoying.

No, what is annoying is having to state four times in a row that it is not our job to kill your character because of a situation you put it in. There are options in game to deal with this, starve it or hit it. Those are your suicide options. I do not believe I could be any clearer on this subject.

If you wish for there to be a suicide option in game, suggest it, although I am highly sure that it has been suggested and rejected numerous times before.

Did he say something about wanting you to kill the char for him? I think he just asked how to best kill his char. (Which has indeed either to be done by starving or hitting yourself repeatedly.)

I did not understand this ... What is the relationship with the mechanics? Maybe she is new player and mechanics prevents applying itself the final blow?

I assume that Saalko assumes the character should by all logic have killed him/herself by now if he/she was physically able to do that, so blaming a lacking game mechanic for preventing people from killing themselves in one day.

I think it would be reasonable if there was a suicide option that had a 1/5 chance to succeed, required any bladed weapon, and death would take 1 day, and could be prevented by anyone who clicks a cancel button within that day. That way people would have a relatively faster way to die, but others would have a full day to intervene.

If the people are running in and out too fast for you to be able to rp anything, put up a status message in your custom description. They might not read it, but there's a chance that they might. You can't input that your character is dead if they aren't yet, but you would be allowed to write that he/she is unconscious and bleeding to death. If the character has a knife and you have used it to attack him/herself, you can write that he/she has cuts across his/her wrist. If there are no weapons, you could still write that there are scratch marks on his/her arms, neck or face, because a person like that would try to damage oneself through any means possible.

You could even draw it out a bit like a ritual, if you wanted... (take harakiri as an example)

Suggestion: When a person successfully attacks oneself with a bladed weapon while not having a shield, in addition to the normal hit damage, they should get additional bleeding damage each hour, equal to the amount of force used (100% gives 10 points an hour, 10% gives 1 point and everything in between goes with the same logic). Also at every hour, there's a (100% - amount_of_bleeding*9) chance of bleeding slowing down by one point. If it gets to 0 then it stops.

While a person is bleeding, it would be mentioned in their character description along with a button called "Stem the bleeding" or "Give first aid" or something like that. Clicking on it would start a project that stems bleeding while it's being actively worked on, and the bleeding value would be halved each hour. Bleeding would be stopped when it reaches less than 1. The person wouldn't be taking any more damage while the project is active, but if the bleeding wasn't stemmed completely by the time pressure is no longer applied, the bleeding would continue according to the rules in the previous paragraph. Of course someone could attempt to cut the person's head off with a sword to let them die quickly, but I'm not sure if it's necessary to make that any easier. After all, it says nowhere that Cantrians would dodge, attackers just have a 30% (was it?) chance of missing.

Yes.

Edited: Case information is not to be revealed on the forum!

Bottom line, do stupid stuff with you character, take responsibility and deal with it. Don't come looking for a workaround simply because you cannot handle waiting for a character slot to open.

And even if PD killed a character, wouldn't it block a slot all the same?

I have no clue if that affects the slot time, I would assume not, or that at the very least there would be an option somewhere to prevent it.

My point is that this player had asked me numerous times and then came to the forum to ask someone else to do the exact same thing and that the reasoning behind the request is BS and that if the player valued their character slots so much, they should take better care of their characters.
