something wrong with a project's progress

I'm not sure if this really is a bug.. but this project acts strange.^^
I participated in it 2891-0, the initiator had left and I worked alone. I can't remember exactly what the progress was at this time.. certainly at least over 20%. It's a farming project which should approximately last only one day. Later someone else joined in, so it should be even less.
Almost every time I take a look, the progress is changing - two times it was 0%, then again 87%, now it's 70%... Now I'm totally confused. Am i working on a never ending project on a ghost-field?
