Hi,

I've noticed this occur twice.

The first time, I was given notes and maps which had no title. I thought this was peculiar (I later discovered the reason).

Recently, I duplicated a particular note and it had no title! (by title, I mean the name of hte note).

Interestingly, when I click the note, it still has the original title at the top. But in the inventory page, there is no title.

I quickly glanced through other threads here and there wasn't any thread titled with this problem so I assume it hasn't been brought up yet.

The first instance occured between 2 to 4 days ago (absolute minimum and absolute maximum), hopefully this helps you look at implementations and programming done near this period.
The second instance occured 3 minutes ago.

it has been happening alot to me so I gave up on making copies.

I've noticed it as well. It's probably the best to make copies manually, at least if the note is editable.

I made an in game report about this already, myself.

I find out work-around with this problem.

I make copy, copy in inventory appears with name.

I open such note and on the top right corner click on 'Wrong encoding?'

THen I chose utf8(Unicode) and press 'Set'

Next time you open your inventory, you see name of the note.

Titles fixed, but duplication of notes is not.

To clarify, the note I pm'ed you is not duplicating, but the title is right for the originals. (the duplicate's titles are wrong).

However, The Black Atlas duplicates fine.

Did you change the encoding to utf-8?

You can fix note copying by changing the encoding of the source note to UTF-8.

I tried this today and though the copying worked, the note titles were cut in UTF-8 and not as long as they should have been.

Edit: Obviously not only the title is affected by this, but also the content. When I changed the encoding of a kind of inventory list to UTF, half of the listed items vanished and only were listed again after changing back to ISO 8859-1. This seems to be caused by special characters because everything following an "ü" (and the "ü" itself) vanished and in the titles that were cut there were also special characters and everything after them vanished.

I'm having this same problem. It seems to only apply to uneditable notes. (The title shows up on the event page when I pick the note up, but the one in my inventory is blank.)

I try not to make new notes and use old editable ones normally. I do it by erasing the contents and writing new contents then erasing old title and putting in a new one. Then hit submit. Now when I do that the note shows up blank in my inventory. I tried changing the encoding but to no avail.

Still happening. Trying to change the encoding didn't help.
