Wierd textures on the Dom Hofran coast

I have seen a strange part of the Dom Hofran peninsula that changes textures when you switch to the square map. Let me know if you want a screen shot showing this.

I've seen this all around Cantr for years. The beach goes from a textured yellow to a solid orange block.

Also earlier on Omeo island in this one nook, it displayed black or dark green dots on a bright green background without any blurring. This was a while ago, I haven't sailed close to that point ever since.
