lol. Well Thomas if your doing a bit of cleaning up I'm nearly sure there is one or two projects in holding cell of 'The Quillanoi Prison - QuillQuill', all with similar things like 'Quillanoi is sh*te'

Hmmm. Seems like the common "prison messsages" to me. What'd you expect, ppl writing " I love quillanoi" after been thrown in jail?

They can write it on a note, not start a building project and add a gram of stone. Or they can plot revenge, something constructive....or just less annoying.

Shane is right. It's not about the messages per se, it's about having useless projects cluttering up. That is a pain because it gets old eventually, to have to read those messages, and it also significantly effects the efficiency of that page.
However, such projects in prison cells I consider a slight exception, because they do indeed provide a good model for things that prisoners would carve in their holding cells.
If a player (and I mean playre, not character ;-)) feels really annoyed, though, I'll remove those messages as well.

Yeah, but theres a different in the character developing and being angry and starting the project than the player being pissed off that their character was put in jail and starting 4 or 5 projects...in the Quillanoi Prison for example.lol..a random example.

There is a difference, indeed. Overly obscene building names certainly won't help to convince us, that this was done IC. And I am not perfectly happy with accepting building projects as a model for prison graffitis. But I think, it's a borderline case. So, as long as I don't hear 'please remove the Quillanoi Prison project, because I feel annoyed', I won't touch them, because it's potentially a nice idea.
If I hear it (or read it, for the smart asses out there. :P), I won't hesitate, though. :)

Yay.. The "T" agrees with me! :D

But couldn't there be some limit for building projects? Maybe something for suggestions. But No one needs to start 5 buildings in one day. Those who do will probably use them for messages anyway.
Can't there be a bad word filter installed for buildings? Not allowing you to start the project?

I really agree with that idea. Certain words shouldn't be allowed when starting a building project.

That's a little pointless, since word filters are easy to dodge. Fuck is not allowed? I'll write fuk. Fuk is found, too, I'll write fark. Fark is captured, I'll write F00k. No end to that. And I haven't yet considered the different languages...
From an economical point-of-view, it's better to generally prohibit such obscene messages, reaching the players with common sense, and addressing those without common sense, when necessary.

I'm generally not impressed to read words like fuck, whore, balls, shit-eater, or nazi. My jaw does not drop when I encounter them, and I think no one else's does. Such words just create a bad mood among the players, that's why they will usually be removed, and the player in question will be reprimanded.

If people want to impress others with such words, I guess there's an elementary school in the next town.

True, but it might just prevent some people from making such project names. Although if they really want to you can't stop them.

But FUK looks still a bit better then FUCK. Not much though.
