For the past couple of days, I have been getting backslashes in strange places:
This vessel is currently sailing on a \sea in direction \160, at \100 percent speed.

Is this just a firefox thing?

\1 out of \12 resource slots are used

I noticed that TODAY actually and I'm on Firefox with WinXP. If that matters.

Same here, although I have only noticed it when it shows resource slots available within a town. Haven't really looked for it elsewhere, assumed it was something that was being done on purpose.

EDIT:

I am using Windows 7 Eval#7100
Firefox as well.

Not meaning to add to the clutter but I think I'm the only person to post same problem with I8

I doubt it's a browser problem... but if it is, the problem would be immediately apparent from somebody posting the source code of the section containing the backslashes. But, as I said, it's most likely to be something to do with the server side.

Personally, I noticed but didn't see need to say anything as it was not effecting the game in any manner that I was aware of.

However, if another person experiences a similar problem I will, of course, confirm or deny that I've a similar issue.

Unless this is hurting game-play I see "let it be", no need to go messing with stuff over a / or twenty.

I assume there has been messed in the first place, so I'd like to see it corrected.

And yes, I'm experiencing the same problem.

I just saw it, and yes, the backslash characters are being sent as raw text by the server.

I happen to like the little cute /'s. They remind me of what I want to do to my ex's tires.
