One of my characters is on a boat, and someone started docking to a harbour. There's no option to cancel this or to sail away, why?

Because it's 1 or 2 hours away from docking. I'm not sure why they made it so that it's impossible to cancel docking when you're that close but it just is.

I've noticed it's now impossible to cancel docking full stop.
But i guessed maybe it was taken out for a reason.

The reason why docking cancellation is not allowed 1-2 turns out, is so that pirates are not made too powerful. Captives have a chance of redocking to land under this system, forcing pirates to build holds if they want to hold prisoners. I agree with the reason.

Okay, just FYI, pirates are going to kill my character because I can't cancel docking now. I docked earlier without knowing I couldn't be around when they boat would dock.

Yeah I think it kind of sucks as well... I recently noticed this myself. I do understand though why they made it that way... I don't think I like it though. *shrugs*
