Your bandwidth-limit is reached. Come back later.

I tried to upload an image, and this is what I get:

Your bandwidth-limit is reached. Come back later.

Seriously, what the heck? Does this mean I can never post an image again? It's not like I've been abusing this. Yes, I upload a lot of maps, but it takes so long to make them, I upload them incrementally as I make them. Why were we never told about this, why is there no status bar measuring available bandwith, and why can't we delete out own uploads if we have limits?

This really sucks.

I know you're not supposed to host images off the server, but if this isn't fixed, I don't see that I have any choice...

I wasn't aware of such a thing but it's good to have protective measures to avoid people downloading an awful lot of stuff. If it says come back later then surely you'll be allowed to upload later on.

One of my characters is making a map and instead of either saving the graphics outside the game (which would lead into the map never being published in game in case of sudden death) or making a big map and uploading new versions of it, I make a separate small image for each location and when there are enough images, a road map can be drawn based on them. If you are mapping a large area then it might be worthwhile to break it into sectors that are in different image files so that if you need to update one of them, you don't have to upload all those areas that remain unchanged in the old version.

I doubt my bandwith will free up. I suspect this is linked to the problem I emailed you about privately, and that was days ago.

Anyway, I do split up my images, and just uploading the updated bits of it is a good idea. Kind of a moot point now though...
