Zero repeating?

How come, when starting repeataable project, the default value for number of repeats is zero?
Some kind of common sense says that '0' means 1 repeat. But then, '1' would also mean 1 repeat.
Is that just a bug or it has some deeper sense.

Well, if you repeat something 0 times, I think it just means you don't repeat it at all (and stay sill when you've fulfilled the project)...

Exactly.
Think of it as the number of extra lives on an old style arcade game. When you out of extra lives you are playing your last life.
