About joining certain departments

Postby *Wiro » Wed Nov 05, 2008 10:28 pm

When will the people who applied for a certain position get a reply? I really want to translate stuff for the dutch Cantr. It's horribly annoying that there are a lot of important (and simple!) things not translated.

Thanks.

If your application submission does not go through normally, please send a copy of your application by PM to our Personnel Department officers 'cantrlady' or 'formerly known as hf' and they will be able to handle it for you.

You really have to be persistent if you want to join staff. ^^

By the way, some of the most simple and important things are still intranslatable. But you will see it yourself.

I read a few things about stuff being not translatable a while back, but items that are used daily are still left untranslated. Like food (which means that a lot of people simply make up a translation themself, which can be funny but can also be very annoying.).

And I did send the application to Cantrlady a week or two ago. Perhaps longer.

It can take up to 2 or 3 months before you get a firm response.

Hmm, I'll have to wait a little longer then. Sorry for being impatient. I'm still young and usually do things at a fast pace. :P

It should rather be 2-3 week than 2-3 months. Depends on the workload though.

I had to wait one or two months if I remember right but I think my application got lost or something.

Applications are reviewed on several levels, and not all levels are as quick as others. Your application is probably waiting on multiple people to respond.

We are trying to streamline the review process, but as Doug mentioned correctly - it does have to be reviewed by a few levels.

lol yea, it's kinda disappointing when you wait several months and send your app to three people just to be told the dept. you want doesn't need any people. I've been thinking about applying to be a forum mod, but I just haven't had enough time to fill out and send in the app.

Maybe I should be a forum mod, I'm here all the time.
