Anyway, his username was wolfkin, and he's the blind guy I've been discussing. He's wanting to get on here so he can learn the game and get some help from Tiddy especially. I can give more info in a private message to staff if needed. Thanks!

New Forum User Email Failed
A friend just signed up for the forum, but hit the email error when he submitted the sign-up page. He then tried again, but it said the email was taken, so it must be waiting for verification. Of course, he can't verify because the email didn't go out. Catch-22 anyone?

The forum does not require email verification to join.
The newest user is recorded as having joined today, and someone who joined on the 2nd managed to post (and email has been broken for months).
Your friend's forum ID was accepted. I would tell him to just try logging in with the password he picked. It should work.
The reason he got the error is because it tried to email him his account details, not because he needs to verify via email.

That's not the case. New users need the email to complete registration. The email from the forums has only been down again in the past couple of days. I've had another new player complain in irc today he is unable to log in.
We are also unable to accept new players to the game via the automated system. New players can come into the irc to request account numbers from PD, though we cannot help with forum access.
Apologies for the inconvenience. I hope someone from ProgD can address this soon.

Forum accounts can be activated manually by a forum Administrator.
We will need the forum user name and e-mail address that the user registered with (e-mail to confirm that we are looking at the proper account and can e-mail them with the password).
I'm assuming this will funnel through the IRC channels and various other backdoor forms of communication we have jury rigged lately. Perhaps American ingenuity isn't dead after all.
