One of my characters was dropping stuff and got the "Error you are not allowed to view other people's events" message. I was thrown to the character list and was shocked to see several of my characters white when a moment ago they had all been gray. I went back to the character who was dropping stuff, finished dropping and went back to character listing to find all the characters gray once more. I still checked one of them to make sure the dropping action hadn't echoed to the rest of them, but there were no new events and no resources on the ground, so I assume nothing was duplicated. Still I've never seen this happen before and I wonder what might be causing it.

I can't say i've noticed the highlight thing.
But i get turfed back to the player page frequently with the 'You are not allowed to view other players pages' message. When dragging, dropping and talking mostly.

Yea, that started pretty much around the same time the the event auto-refresher was put back on-line.

Yup, though I must say I though I was the only one seeing that.
I frequently get booted back to the character screen when dropping, picking up, dragging, speaking and other things.
If this could be fixed I'd be very happy, as it's highly annoying and seems to hit a few chars of mine particularly hard.
Once it gets started for a char only logging in again solves it temporarily.

Just FYI I'm getting this too. It seems to be becoming more frequent actually. Or maybe I'm just paying more attention after seeing this thread...

I can reproduce it 100% of the time by picking up something with a char in a specific building. More info available on request from ProgD.

As for the highlighting problem, I have a similar thing happening with one of my newer characters. Although this one is constant. I recently created a character named Caius, and for some reason the new events system doesn't work one his name only. It's like the bug we had last month with none of the names highlighting, but it only applies to him and I have no error reports. I created another character after him and the newer one doesn't have this problem.

Was Caius created during last month's bug? (It was fixed sometime between 2347 and 2351.) Characters created during the bug still don't highlight. ProgD says it is a tricky problem.

no, I made him once the errors disappeared and my characters started lighting up again.
