I'm a newbie to this game. I'm playing several characters, but I don't understand how time works:

"Day: 736, Time: 3:21 (next hour in 72 real-life minutes)
There are 20 days in a year, 8 hours in a day, 36 minutes in a hour."

What does this mean?

It's an explanation of the time system. The day and hour show up on events, and the minutes portion of the time shows how far along the hour is.

The line underneath it explains there are 36 cantr minutes in a cantr hour, 8 cantr hours in a cantr day, and 20 cantr days in a cantr year.

Since a cantr day is the same length as a RL day, a cantr hour lasts three real hours.

Heh ... Well, yeah, it's probably a bit confusing.

The game is turn-based, so although you can play at any time, many processes make a step forward when there is a turn change, like travelling or building projects. This turn changes every three real-time hours.

A day in the game takes as long as a day in real-time. Since we call the turn changes our hours, there are 8 hours in a game day. So 8 game hours take 24 real-time hours. In such a game hour, there are 36 game minutes. And after 20 game days, we call it a game year (because every character gets one year older after playing 20 days).

The 72 in this example is the time it will take in real-time minutes to reach the next turn change (hence in-game hour change).

1 game day = 1 real day
1 game hour = 3 real hours
1 game minutes = 5 real minutes

Game Minutes do not matter so much but is a good way to coordinate with people to get on line at the same time.

Every game hour your pojects progress, travelling etc.

So when I have played those 200 minutes, I have to wait until after midnight to play....... right?
