im getting these all over the place too, when posting messages as well.
the message still goes through, though. I don't know about PMs
edit - well that message didnt have a problem going through

Yeah, those have happened before. My interpretation is that the bit of code that's supposed to send a notice to people who have enabled email announcements of new PMs is somehow broken. It shouldn't be a problem to people who use the forums regularly, more of a problem for those who have stopped checking in and only log in if someone contacts them (or posts in their watched topics).
