Tools not being detected for gathering.

It's not the first time i've noticed it with my chars, but i kept forgetting to mention it.
Often when you have a tool to increase your daily gathering rate it doesn't make a blind bit of difference. This is the current one:

Grapes:
Note that in one day one person can only farm 75 gram. The number of turns will be rounded upwards. The end result will have a random deviation (max 20%) of the amount you ask for.
If you have knife, you can farm 150 grams a day.
If you have bone knife, you can farm 135 grams a day.
If you have bronze knife, you can farm 150 grams a day.

I have: a brand new knife

My project looked like this (earlier):

Why's it taking 2 days to gather 150g instead of one for having a Knife?

I'm pretty sure the first time i noticed it was when it was missing the fact that i had a shovel when i was gathering Soda.

Does it really take two days or does it just say two days in the description?

I believe the rate reported is hand-gathering rate. What the tool does is shorten the time, so if you are holding a knife, you'll finish that in one day instead of two.

No, by the looks of this it is taking 2 days to gather 150g

I am awkward, yes. Neither of the others.
I didn't realise having a lower skill would make a 1 day project last 2 though... as that seems to be what you're suggesting.

Obviously i know there is some variation based on skill, but i didn't know it was to that degree.

Not quite that harsh, but it will make a 2 day project into an almost 3 day one.

The lowest depths of awkward give you a 50% penalty. Two awkward charries once took nearly 18 days to build a stone building that normally takes 20 for one charrie.

Consequently, the heights of expert skill will seem to gather at the tooled rate. That rarely gets reported as a suspicious bug, though. ;)
