I read in the forum that live and dead bodies are 60kg (yes, I know dead ones decompose and lose mass). However, the game doesn't bear this out. I couldn't drag a body onto a vehicle that I myself could get on (it told me the vehicle would be overweight). Am I missing something? (This was a two-person vehicle).

I see Doug's point. If the body is decomposed 50% one strong man can drag it, thus it is presumably only 30kg weight.
And I guess the program, when dragging, still assumes it's 60kg.

I know one thing, you're never going to get that rotting flesh smell out of the car.

It was a two-person vehicle. I was already in the vehicle, and another was outside the vehicle. Both of us living people could fit inside (with items), but the dead body could not.

Hence my point that dead bodies must weight a lot more than 60kg, or else you can't drag a body into a vehicle with someone else inside, even if they should fit.

Didn't there used to be problems with dead bodies blocking land vehicles? Now they fall out upon death. Maybe dead bodies just aren't allowed in land vehicles because of the past necessity for ProgD intervention and the rarity of someone wanting to put a corpse into a vehicle.

No no no, you are missing the point that bear made. To be able to drag something into a vehicle, there has to be room enough for whatever you're dragging PLUS 60kg(might be 60kg plus a key, not sure). Reason is so that you don't drag so much that one person cannot move in after dragging. So, if you wanted to drag a person into a vehicle, there HAS to currently be 120kg room available. If you are already inside a two person vehicle, no way you are going to make it work. Another example, if you want to drag 30 kg of stone, you need to make sure there is a total of 90kg of room available in the destination. Hope that helps.
