You can set yourself to vacation mode, but I think this is for 90 days max, so you'll have to log in at least every 3 months to renew this.
And you'll have to give them sufficient food, or trust others to feed them. Note they can still be killed by other chars or animals.

Have you been drafted to the army?

America doesn't have drafts anymore.

More than likely, active reserve and called to active duty. Would that be correct Lord Waine Eagleson?
I believe you may want to speak with someone on the Players Department.
I have no idea who they may be, but if someone knows, perhaps you could message Lord Waine Eagleson.

Active reserve? Is it when you have already served in the armed forces and gone out and then for some years you are active reserve or what? I'm just curious.
Besides I think even in Iraq soldiers get to use internet

If you haven't been playing that long and you're not attached to them, I'd just kill my account. A real year is a really, really long time (18 Cantr years) to have your charries sleeping. If you really, really want to keep them and the PD approves, I'll can log into your account every so often to keep it active.

I'm sure the little time they have they'd rather spend it keeping in touch with their families.

Yeah they do. Some actually have enough time to get bored and blog their vidoes and journals in Iraq throughout the Internet. History Channel ftw!

He is in the Navy... That is why he is being deployed overseas... Not like I can't keep them alive for you, but we don't seem to be able to talk nicely to eachother when we do talk.. But that isn't for discussion here..

Then why bring it up here?
Lord Waine if you still are around and need something handled on your account while you're gone please contact me via pm and we can discuss what we can do for you.

Mikki, don't bring up personal crap in this forum. This is not the forum for anything like that. I'm locking and moving this thread to GS where it belongs as there is the answer for his question in it. PM rconley and she'll help you out, Lord.
