Wiki is broken.
Example: http://www.cantr.net/mwiki/index.php/Coal_oven is not showing the trowel template inline in the infobox anymore, it's just blank.

A user seems to have accidently created a Template:If which breaks the If| |then construction used in Infoboxes - Deletion of this tenmplate still breaks this I will try to rollback all edits made by the user to see if that clears things up - In the mean time I've removed the If construction for the Infobox:Manufacture Tools section which fixes this for Objects but the same contruction is used in many other Infoboxes - All now broken

Great. Further, how can a template suddenly become corrupt like this?
Is it a db issue that corrupted the history and prevented rollback?
Is it vandalism or user error? (In that case why can't it be rolled back)?
If neither, why is it happening now and not before? What can be done to prevent this from happening again?
EDIT: Oh, and will the changes be kept or should I copy the ones I made yesterday to a textfile on my end or something?

The wiki has now been rolled back
The issue is the Mediawiki software which corrupted the database - it was not vandalism , nor the database server itself . because of the nature of the corruption and the way in which the Wiki software precaches and re-analyses existing entries meant that the only only rollback possible was the full rollback to a date before the corruption - a rollback individual edits was tried but did not fix this issue.
We can look to upgrading the s/w to a higher version - but I have found no indication that this issue has been fixed yet.
A list of missing edits has been posted on the wiki for reference
