What's this about my characters "appear to be weak"

Postby In Sorte Diaboli » Tue Jul 24, 2007 1:59 pm

I'm back to play this game after being absent for almost 11 months. There aren't many changes at first sight, but I've noticed that my two new characters appear to be "weaker than average"... what's up with that and what does it mean effectively?

thanks

Means they're weaker than average! Like skills, there is a strength variable. It's probably always been there, but now you're told. Affects fighting, hunting and dragging, I think. Certainly the last.
Fighting and hunting will increase the strength through time.

Mhm, I see. Sounds reasonable. Can I character spawn possessing great strength or mastership in any other skill?

All initial skills are random, based on the initial skills of two of the chars at the place where you were spawned. So you might start out expert at something.
They all increase slowly with practice at that task, but some are very slow to increase.

There are several new implementations that you can notice that have been added in the last... *stops writing and glances up at the post* 11 months, and tons that you don't really notice. Here are a few of the big ones:

1. New Build Menu
2. No Animals on Roads
3. Visible Strength Level
4. Dragging Resources and Items
5. New Character Status Bars
6. New Building Status Bars
7. Building and Vehicle Repairs
8. Building Signs
9. Sails for Ships
10 Countless New Manufacturable Items

Those are just some of the few improvements you will notice. :D
Every action has a consequence.
